Does Facebook Replace Face Time or Enhance It? - TIME

We were discussing this in the first week of the class.
It's actually interesting that my "IM time" with friends has gone down once I started blogging about interesting things that happen to me. Since my friends have already read stuff, I don't get to tell many stories any more...
This hasn't cut down the quality of "face time" much but may cut down on topics of discussion...

I don't think it replaces face time per se, it expands my communication. I have reconnected with so many people from my past and it's a great way to keep up with them. I don't find myself replacing face time with people currently in my life, I think it's quite the opposite.

I've found that when I blog about my life and invite people from my everyday life to read the blog it results in some odd conversations. For example, I never know what they've read unless they tell me and then I wonder things like: am I being redundant in telling a story? if I interpret with a different twist today will the person call me out for embellishing or changing details?
